He that spared not his own Son

triunecrossWhat do you need to know for this New Year?  God did not spare his own Son.

If all goes well for you  in this New Year, this is what you need to know. All good is yours because God did not spare his own Son.  He who gave you his own Son will have given you all other things graciously.  You will have not had any good apart from Him, regardless of the means he uses to give you that good. His love knows no bounds.

If this year means continuing a struggle that you already know well, this is what you need to know.  God did not spare his own Son.  You grief and sorrows were placed upon him on that Hill.  Cast your cares on him for he cares for you.  He cares enough that he did not spare his own Son.

If this year means  dealing with a tragedy, calamity, and disease that you never wanted to imagine let alone experience, this is what you need to know.  God did not spare his own Son.  His love perseveres through all things, even that thing you fear most.  Nothing can separate you from his love.  His love for you is in Christ Jesus and he is the same yesterday, today and forever. God love does not change or falter.  Your change cannot change him.

If this year means suffering for your faith, this is what you need to know.  God did not spare his own Son.  All day long you may be like a sheep led to slaughter, but the Lamb has gone before you.  Though him, you are a conqueror.  He will give you all things needful.  You have the most needful.  Doubt not the others.

If this year means more sin and rebellion, this is what you need to know.  God did not spare his own Son.  Who is that will bring charges against you?  The Accuser had been silenced.  God is your justifier.  He shall speak.  He intercedes even now and always.

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?
