No Brainer – Free Birth Control

I have to agree.  A no-brainer.  As in “no brain” move.  Give everyone a pill for free to stop the “disease” of unwanted children.  Because really, there is no other way to stop unwanted pregnancy.   Apparently these people’s folks never talked birds and bees.  Never explained that the stork is not involved.  Never told them that pregnancy can be avoided by something as simple as buttoned pants.

And how many times do you hear people say, “You know, I was going to use birth control, but it was just too expensive.”  I couldn’t afford the fifty cents for the condom or make it to the center to get free birth control there.  Cost is really the issue, isn’t it?  Not gross irresponsibility and even grosser immorality.

The truth is, these people are convinced that people are the real trouble in the world.  And so they try to control the least and the last’s procreation first, for the are the easiest to manipulate.  But this plan will not be effective enough to thin the herd.  Soon they will stop trying to compel insurance companies and just compel individuals through forced sterilization or birth control policies.  (If you think I am crazy, you must understand that people write about such plans fairly openly.  Many think China has done well with their one child policy.)

If you want to stop unwanted pregnancy, teach not about the destruction laid on society when children are born, but the destruction laid on society when those not married fornicate.   I know many think this approach naive, but I could easily say the same of those who think free birth control will solve anything.

Will Insurers Have To Offer Free Birth Control?

A registered nurse holds a birth control pill pack at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Shrewsbury, N.J.

And, according to a report in The New York Times, the Obama administration is looking into whether, under the new law, it could compel insurance companies to offer free contraceptives and family planning as a preventive service.

“It should be a no-brainer to provide contraceptive coverage to women at a low or minimum cost-sharing,” says Sabrina Corlette, a research professor at Georgetown University’s Health Policy Institute.

His organization’s recommendation on contraceptives: A full array of drugs and devices, including those for permanent contraception, must be covered without cost-sharing, he said.

“It is equally essential that women have access to counseling that supports them in choosing a contraceptive method that is best for them and in using that method effectively,” Lawrence added.

  1. And then it will effect every one of us – and I’m not talking monetarily in increased insurance premiums (though I’m sure there, too). All those pills consumed = all the excess hormones excreted = all the extra hormones in the public water supply. I know a friend and I have been commenting about how it seems miscarriages are on the rise… how we don’t think it’s just that we’re more aware of them because we’re in the child-bearing age group (and we’ve both had a couple miscarriages, too). I can’t help but think all the medications – especially the hormonal birth control – that plays into it, whether you directly consume it or just drink the water.
