Democrats jump out out of their seats to remind Americans that Iraq did not attack us on 9/11. Poor Colin Powell was sent out to make a case against the innocent Saddam. Osama continues to live the good life in some cave with a beautiful view of Pakistan. The evil Bush misled an ignorant nation and a confused congress into a bloodbath of misplaced aggression.
That debate has been had more times than can be counted and will be had many more. For the sake of this post, let me assume the above arguments are true. Let’s assume that we really did go to the wrong place after the wrong man. Let’s assume that the Republican keep making the case against now dead Saddam that should have been made against Al Caeda.
Well now, the democrats, led by the One, Obama, are now pulling a Bush/ Cheney deception. Obama and his friends are now waging a war against Bush’s economic policies.  They are blaming his policies for the recent economic troubles. The big problem is this: his tax policies have nothing to do with what happened to our economy. All of the news agencies were clear that the mastermind behind 9/11 was Osama Bin Laden. And yet we went after Saddam. All of the news agencies are equally consistent in their reporting that the current economic crisis was caused by bad loans in the mortgage industry. And yet they are going after Bush’s tax policies. It is a Bush/Cheney size deception they are pulling on the American people. We will defeat Republican economics and the enemy will still lurk because no one has the courage to fight the real problem. No one will stand up and say that the dream of every American in their own home regardless of their work ethic or lifestyle choices should be left in the pillows.
We can debate whether Saddam needed to be removed, but he did not attack us on 9/11. We can debate whether trickle down works, but it is not the cause of the current economic crisis.  Americans, do not be fooled again.
