I’ve always wondered this: why are the 95 theses not part of the Book of Concord or the Confessional documents of the Lutheran churches?
I believe because they were intended as scholarly things to be debated rather then as a firm confession of faith. Also, as far as I know they were not ever subscribed to by anyone. So their nature and their ecumenical character are different.
