So a man is chased by Police. Above head, helicopters fly to feed our insatiable need to see breaking news. Soon the helicopters are entangled and explode.
“Police Chief Jack Harris suggested Jones [the man being chased] could be charged in connection with the collision.
‘I believe you will want to talk to investigators, but I think he will be held responsible for any of the deaths from this tragedy,’ Harris told reporters at the scene. He did not elaborate.”
Are you kidding me? Charge the man with the crime. Charge him with anything that happens to the police who must respond. But allow the responsibility for the crash rest with those responsible. With the pilots who crashed. With the news agencies who send them out for every chase. With us for watching.
