Whom You Trust

imageI know whom you trust even though I do not know you.  You trust those who are trustworthy.  Oh you may love others and pine over them, but you truly only trust those who are trustworthy.  You may try to trust someone more than you do, but it just does not work unless their trustworthiness is placed before your eyes.  Trusts is earned, not just created out of nothing.  As much as you might want to, you cannot just decide to trust someone more without regard to what you see in their lives.

Faith likewise is based on the faithfulness of God.  Therefore, if you desire to have more faith, do not just try to believe more firmly.  Such an act in useless.  if you want to have more faith, ponder the faithfulness of God.  Place before your eyes his faithfulness recorded in the scriptures.  Listen to other saints of God confess how God has shown himself faithful to them.  Ponder how his promises has been kept in your live.

Above all ponder the cross.  There is God’s faithfulness shown beyond all doubt.  A promise made back in Genesis is made true after thousands of years of things which made the keeping of that promise seem improbable or impossible.  It came to pass because God is faithful.  And that realization is the source of all true faith.

Trying to have more faith is useless.  Pondering God faithfulness is profitable in every sense.

  1. Phil,

    Please make the following changes:

Who you Trust should be changed to Whom you trust.

And I know who you trust should be changed in to I know whom you trust.

    Thank you.
